Designer
Soy Cho’s multicultural roots include strong Japanese, Korean and Brazilian influences. She has been an artist since childhood and has enjoyed an award winning career in artistic design and production. Her varied activities include participation in international exhibitions, cultural exchanges and interdisciplinary workshops. Ms. Cho’s undergraduate degree in Industrial Design was earned at the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation - FAAP, the premier educational venue for arts and culture in Sao Paulo - Brazil. She found her life’s work and passion in jewelry design during her post graduate studies as a scholarship holder granted by Hyogo –ken in Japan at the Art College Kobe institution.
A difference in her work is that the designer offers customization service jewelry. The designer develops unique designs that are performed with the use of noble materials, combining handmade processes and latest technology in accordance with the style and the customer's request. Her practical experience at H. Stern, and an apprenticeship with another local jewelry company further developed her expertise in the artistic and the production side of the profession. Her lifelong devotion has produced a master craftsperson creating a unique, handmade line of custom jewelry. She is noted for delicate lines, quality materials and original techniques.

Summary: The actress Michelle Yeoh, originally from Malaysia, is well known in Hollywood by her beauty and by one of her great performances on the film “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and she was the inspiration for this piece of jewelry. In this piece of art we can find elements like the drawing of Asian clouds, the moon and the movements of martial arts that we see in the film and also a lot of curves that provide a tribute to this actress who was also a dancer and Miss Malaysia.
The technique used was the handmade jewelry.
The interpretation was subjective and resulted in a very feminine piece with an oriental spice.

Formada em Desenho Industrial pela FAAP, ela descobriu a sua verdadeira paixão pelo design de jóias durante seus estudos de pós- graduação como bolsista no Japão concedida pela província de Hyogo-ken, na conceituada Art College Kobe. Um diferencial em seu trabalho é que a designer oferece um serviço de personalização de jóias. A designer desenvolve desenhos exclusivos que são executados com a utilização de materiais nobres, mesclando processos artesanais e de tecnologia de ponta de acordo com o estilo e a solicitação do cliente. “Uma das minhas missões é criar jóias exclusivas que tragam alegria e prazer, reflitam beleza e arte e que façam parte de momentos especiais e marcantes da vida dos meus clientes. A simbologia das nuvens orientais , da lua e do movimento estão representadas na peça que foi inspirada em sua atuação no filme “O tigre e o dragão”. A técnica utilizada foi a joalheria artesanal. A interpretação foi subjetiva e resultou numa peça com um toque oriental e feminino.
